I wouldn’t worry too much about the 3:00 deadline!

Last year, deals were being announced past 4:00!

Yeah, they all have to be submitted before three and then it takes some time for the NHL front office to sort through and officialize them all.

I can't believe it! Zhitnik and Satan are both STILL HERE. I'm wondering what this means....

They didn't get much help that would push them in the playoffs and they didn't trade Satan. Anyone else upset that they didn't do anything big?

I feel like we did pretty well. We toughened up the defense with two hard hitters. I'm pretty much impartial on the Grier trade. He's about equal to Curby.

I have a question...after 3pm today there can be no more trades in the NHL until the season is over? If so, why?

correct...so that teams have their rosters pretty much set going into the stretch run. There's a trade deadline in all the major sports.

Thanks, Phil. :) I've never heard of professional teams trading the way hockey teams do. It's been non-stop for a few weeks now. I used to think you needed to play with a team for a while in order to have a chemistry, but I guess that's not necessarily true for hockey, huh?

any team can trade with any other team....as long as they have what the other is looking for.

                          :)

Zhitnik is hurt- no one wants to trade for an injured player.
Satan is the best player we have outside of Drury, I'm glad we kept him!
