he's a good option at lb. i think we should talk to him. he's played well for giants imo, fletcher and spikes are better but as a third lb i think he's good

I don't know...you think he'd come in to play backup? There's nothing wrong with Posey, either...and don't talk about sack numbers cause I can't handle the laughter..everyone should know a OLB won't have the same numbers in a 4-3 that he had in a 3-4.
Besides, I doubt it would be very cost effective when we have other actual needs.

I'm not impressed with Posey, but I don't think Barrow is the answer. I'll be watching Crowell closely come preseason.

Of course I would welcome him here as abackup if he would take that type of money but he won't so we can end this convo. here.:beer:

Barrow isn't a backup LB though. He'll start elsewhere.

were getting pretty desperate for news aroudn here....there is 0% chance we even talk to barrow much less make a descent enough offer to say "hey! come here and ride the bench!"

if we were to sign him we wouldn't use him right just like we aren't using Posey right and like we didn't use Newman right we should have Posey rush the QB more

Who do you have cover the TE in short zones then? That's always been the SLB's responsibility in a 4-3 scheme as far as I know. It's usually the SLB up close and then he releases him to the SS.

We can't go after every player that becomers available, particularly when we are having a difficult enough time signing second tier guys like Bober and Vincent.

That's right. Why do we need to sign a LB anyway? Let's get a center and/or a CB first.
