After negotiating with former Chargers defensive end Marcellus Wiley for the last 24 hours, it appears the Cowboys are ready to announce an official signing.

The Cowboys have called a 3:30 p.m. (CST) press conference for Thursday at Valley Ranch in the players meeting room.

If Wiley is signed, he will become the first free agent from another club to sign with Cowboys this off-season.

The Associated Press reports the Dallas Cowboys have signed free agent DE Marcellus Wiley (Chargers) to a four-year, $16 million deal that includes a $4.5 million bonus.

I like Marcellus and hope that he can get back close to the player he once was. But he's too iffy at that price.
