    Question about Teague

Read that along with picking up the $2 mil option it extends contract through 2005 season does this mean added savings to this year's and next year's salary cap????

According to clump's cap page on BillsZone's front page-

Teague was going to be a 2.8 million dollar cap hit. I think we just gave him a large chunk of change up front but extended the deal- spreading out the bonus and money in farther years- so it could come out even or maybe even save us some dough-

At worse it gives us some stability on the line- maybe insurance for the 2005 season if Jennings does not re-sign.

I'm fine w/ keeping him. As dozer said it give us some stability on the line. But I do have a problem if he starts at center. We really need to draft or sign a true center and move him somewhere else.

The Buffalo News said that if the Bills didn't pick up the option, there would have been a $2 million hit to the cap.
