What's Your top 13 draft board?

With such a deep draft- everybody has a different opinion on who the Bills should grab at 13. Of course, when your guy gets drafted before the Bills pick, then you are S.O.L.

Here is my draft board. I'm listing the order in which I would draft players if they fell to us,- keeping in mind team needs. (Even if we sign Volek)

    1) Manning QB
    2) Sean Taylor FS
    3) Robert Gallery T (Move Jennings to Guard-Insurance if Jennings bolts in 2005)
    4) Larry Fitzgerald WR
    5) Mike Williams WR
    6) Tommie Harris DT (I'd play him at DE until Adams or Williams departs)
    7) Vince Wilfork DE
    8) Shawn Andrews OT- See Gallery

    ****Trade Down (If there are takers -Into the 18-25 range for a 1st and a 2nd, or 26-32 range for a 1st , 2nd, and 4th or 5th)****

    9) Ben Roethlesberger
    10) Roy Williams- WR
    11) Kenichi Udeze DE
    12) Roger Williams -WR
    13) Chris Gamble CB
    14) Deangelo Hall- CB- I like his KR ability

Manning or Sean Taylor are tops because they are franchise players- you just can't pass them up. Eli Manning is farther along in his development than bigger brother Peyton at this time. Taylor could be anothe Ronnie Lott. Even if there isn't a hole on your team- you need a roster spot for these guys. Manning takes over in 2005 or 2006.

If you want immediate help, and keep an eye open toward 2005,2006, and beyond- one of the draft's dominant WRs can be added keeping in mind Moulds gets slower and expensive down the road.

Tommie Harris or Vince Wilfork look great too. Harris is a DT but is smaller and explosive, and can plat DE. Wilfork is just the opposite- he's huge for a DE - Reminds me of Pat Williams as our DE in the Bruce Smith days when we ran the 3-4 defense. (Williams, Hansen, Smith). Could move inside when Adams or Williams become cap casualties/Free Agents

I also love the two tackles- Gallery will be long gone when the Bills pick but Shawn Andrews is a very strong possibility. Andrews is a dominant Run blocker - we could move Jennings to the guard spot- or even move Mike Williams there (and Jennings gets his spot) - Imagine Andrews and Williams blowing away defenses followed up with an explosive McGahee in tow?

At this point, I'd really start shopping the pick. If New England wants to move up- I'd deal with them- and getting both #1s doesn't need to be a deal breaker. Moving to their 21st pick, I'd consider Vernon Carey, Loseman, Michael Clayton (WR), DeAngelo Hall (CB) Will Poole(CB), or DT Randy Starks

If there are no takers, then it's time to look ahead and draft possible replacements for FA losses in 2005. Big Ben to replace Bledsoe and give us quality depth. If Volek gets signed- I'd still do it. Kenichi Udeze would be a solid addition. Clements might bolt after this season, so Gamble or Hall might be a possibility. Looking a the remaining stud WRs as a Moulds replacement down the road. Randy Starks if Pat Williams is in doubt, or if Adams is a cap casualty.

BTW- I would NOT draft up for any of these guys - This draft is just to deep.

which is exactly why I believe TD will trade down if possible.

Well I like what u all have to say

My ideal pick for the Bills would be Kellen Winslow Jr, this would help Bledose huge, and I think the guy will be a Tony Gonzalez type of TE...

I think there will be quite a few teams trying to do the same because of the deep draft. I would not want him to move down unless he go a second in THIS draft. If not stay at 13 and we should get an impact player.

I left Winslow off the boards-

in a deep draft- don't blow it on a TE early- especially if we are a run-oriented offense. Winslow will get no more than 40 grabs a season in a run ning offense- and could be an injury liability if we have him on the field to run block 2 out of 3 downs.

Plenty of TE's to get in Rd 2,3 ,or 4.

Oh, I guess I should have paid more attention. I put the top 13 players on the board. Ah, it would look something like that anyway.

                      My dream draft would be:

                      1. Reggie Williams, WR, Wash
                      2. DeAngelo Hall, CB, V Tech (hey it's my dream!!!), ok Vernon Carey (however, he is climbing the charts so he is probably a late first, early second rounder now.
                      3. Antwan Odom, DE, Alabama
                      4. If no Hall - Jeremy LeSuer, CB, Mich If Hall is taken in 2nd Ben Utecht, TE, Minnesota.
                      5. Tony Pape, T, Mich
                      6. Luke McCown, QB, Louis Tech
                      7. Tai Tupai, DT, Wash State

Very nice- but I think you have a lot of guys in your draft slipping an extra round than where they probably go for real.

Carey will be a Dolphin now that they have a QB and WR. Hall is a 1st round pick too...he could be off the boards by the time the Bills pick at 13 (Some mocks have hte Steelers and / or jets getting CBs)

                            4. Eli Manning QB
                            5. Robert Gallery OT
                            6. Kellen Winslow TE
                            7. Tommie Harris DT

                            9. Roy Williams WR
                            10. Shawn Andrews OT
                            11. Reggie Williams WR
                            12. Vince Wilfork DT
                            13. Phillip Rivers QB

Wow, that was hard. There are a lot of great players in this years draft. What a difference a year makes. I debated putting Udeze and Gamble in there, but I didn't know who to replace, which means I don't have any DE's or CB's in my top 13.

I wouldn't be opposed at all to trading down and picking up an extra second, and then grabbing a guy like Vernon Carey

i cant possibly narrow the list of choices down to 13.. but my 2 dream draft.. assuming that we get volek as well.

                              1. udeze - i really really am torn so many ways.. i would have said sean taylor before, but now that i know wire is playing FS, i dont want to see him buried again. i will take the best DE in the draft.

                              2. Grove - "i dont care if people call me dirty, as long as they dont call me soft."

                              3. Sopagoa - Stud DT.. great motor, strongest man in the draft.

                              4. Jeff Smoker - Rivers w/ minor baggage, that i believe is worth the risk

                              5. PK Sams - i like him.. could be a steal.

                              6. a kicker would be nice

                              7. who cares.
