I don't like this move, especially when we want to pound the ball. Maybe Mularkey thinks Gash has lost a few steps. Oh well. NEXT.... :D

Good Luck Sam. You were misused and lied to. I wish you could have left on better terms. You will be missed.

Saints sign fullback

The Associated Press
NEW ORLEANS
The New Orleans Saints signed two-time Pro Bowl fullback Sam Gash to a one-year contract on Tuesday. They also cut three players, including cornerback Dale Carter.

Gash, 6-feet, 242 pounds, has ranked among the league's best fullbacks over the last decade. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1998 and 1999. Gash started 10 of 16 games for the Buffalo Bills in 2003 and had 11 receptions for 83 yards.

Gash is counted on to replace fullback Terrelle Smith. Smith, a punishing blocker who opened holes for Ricky Williams and Deuce McAllister's 1,000-yard seasons, left for the Cleveland Browns and a four-year, $4.4 million contract.

In his 13-year career, Gash has started 78 of 177 regular-season games and has also appeared in 11 postseason contests with seven starts, including a Super Bowl appearance as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.

If Saints signed Gash what about their staring FB from last year Terelle Smith. We talked to him.

Terrelle Smith signed with Cleveland. We have Shelton and it is possible that we draft a FB.

I don't see room for him in this years offense. I like Gash, but it's a good move by the Bills.

I bet Deuce McAllister is very happy right now.

I'd like to see the Bills draft A FB - Mike Karney or Travis Wilson

I think TD will stick with Shelton.
How old is Shelton??

Well, w elost Crosby, Gash, and a potential FB in Morris- leaving us quite thin. I like Wilson too, he's a converted linebacker who would also benefit special teams
