Well, chalk up another blow to the Sabres. Alexi Zhitnik is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

The Buffalo Sabres' playoff chances took a hit Tuesday when Alexei Zhitnik was lost for the rest of the regular season with a shoulder injury.

Any remote possibility of the playoffs has got to be officially gone now .. not that the Sabres were actually playing defense anyway but it will definitley hurt.

That coupled with the Islanders win tonight has put the Sabres in a deeper hole than they were in yesterday.

But hey, theres always next season .. whenever that will be.
