BZFFL#1 Week 6 Recap

The anomaly continues…

The Route 20A Cows (Philagape) – 97
Aero Planes (Aero II) - 86

The Route 20A Cows (6-0) are an interesting team. They are only the 3rd highest-scoring team in their division, but remain unbeaten. This is due, in part, to them being only one of two teams that have not had 500 points scored against them. Call it shrewd roster moves, call it luck, but there’s one thing you have to call the Cows: unbeaten. The Cows featured Jerome Bettis, and his reemergence with 22 points, which made up for the benching of Ricky Williams. There were 4 other starters in double-digits as well. You can expect a bad performance from your team when facing the Cows. Aero Planes (3-3), the second-highest scoring team in the league, had just that. Aside from Good games from their Chief duo of Trent Green and Priest Holmes, only Marvin Harrison reached double-digits with 15.
Outlook: The Cows are sitting pretty in first place, but are constantly watching their back. Aero Planes are in a 3-way tie for first in the jumbled-up West.
Hart Attack (Don137) – 124
Ebenezer - 71
The reason the Cows are looking over their shoulder is because of the Hart Attack (5-1). The Attack is not going away, and has actually scored nearly 40 more points on the year, than the Cows. The attack assaulted Ebenezer (4-2), with 25, 24, and 23 points from Mike Alstott, Aaron Brooks, and Marshall Faulk respectively. Two other starters were also in high double-digits. Ebenezer, who was undefeated two weeks ago, has now lost 2-straight thanks to terrible outings from their WRs, TE, K, and D. All four positions combined for just 16 points!
Outlook: Hart Attack has won 4 straight, just one game back of the Cows in the East. Ebenezer, who once enjoyed a cushy 3-game lead in the Central, has seen that lead nearly vanish to just one game. It’s now anyone’s ballgame.
Yonkers Platypi Trappers (BF1) - 119
TacklingDummyRJ – 77
Here’s a fun story. The Yonkers Platypi Trappers (3-3) still have the same exact record as the Bills. Since they drafted nearly every Bill available, this team has won when the Bills have, and lost when Buffalo has gone down. This week, the Trappers got solid production from nearly every Bill as Drew Bledsoe scored 22, Travis Henry fumbled his way to 26, and Moulds and Price combined for 29. 31 from the Saints D doesn’t hurt either. TacklingDummyRJ (1-5) Had a good day from Daunte Culpepper (30 pts), but that’s about it.
Outlook: Unfortunately for the Trappers, they play in the leagues toughest division, and are 3 games out of first. TDRJ is in the Central Cellar, but still not out of it by any means, as both the Central and West have been Mediocre.
The Lake Eerie Monsters – 92
Clumping Platelets – 80
The Lake Eerie Monsters (3-3), who have been called the most disappointing team in the league, could an unhappy start into a joyful finish. The Monsters are now at .500 thanks to an all-around solid day. 6 of their 8 starters were in Double-digits, including Shaun Alexander, who led the way with 17. Clumping Platelets (2-4), the team many had penciled in to the playoffs, is now officially the most underachieving team. 27 from the Steelers D, and 25 from Eddie George was not enough.
Outlook: The Monsters have climbed right back into the Central race, just a game out of first. Clumping Platelets are below .500, but luckily for them, they are in the weak west, just 1 game from first.
Earthquake Zone (Earthquake Enyart) – 89
Ferdilizers (CalBillsFan) – 83
Earthquake Zone (3-3) won their second straight, thanks to 24 from Jamal Lewis, and 20 from EE’s favorite player and role model, Terrell Owens. 26 from Jeff Garcia couldn’t save the Ferdilizers (3-3), who fell just short in this one.

Outlook: EZ has climbed their way back into the race, just one game back in the Central. Ferdilizers just missed the opportunity to grab sole possession of first in the West, and are now in that 3-way tie for first.
The Mean Sharks (lordofgun) – 47
Rochester Rampage (Mike32282) – 86
A combined 60 points from Favre and Green would have been more than enough all by themselves for the Rochester Rampage (3-3). The Mean Sharks (0-6) had just one player, Terry Kirby, in double figures with a sickening 12 points.

Outlook: The Rampage are also in that 3-way tie for first in the West. The Sharks are now just 6 games back in the East. WATCH OUT!
WEEK 7 Game of the week: Hart Attack vs. Ferdilizers – Both teams are fighting for first place in their divisions.
If the season ended after Monday Night’s game, playoff teams would be:
1. The Route 20A Cows (East)
2. Ebenezer (Central)
3. Aero Planes (West)
4. Hart Attack (wild card)

Teams eliminated from the playoffs: The Mean Sharks (Unofficially)
