Do you believe he can become a good #2 WR in his 3rd year?

I was going to say that too. Also I thought there was only 3 Williams, Mike, Reggie, and Roy.

I think he will come strong for shure this yr. Again, I say this b/c of the magical Year 3. If Reed doesn't get 750+ yards and 4 scores as the number 2 this year, I consider him an official bust. I still believe in him, and I think he can be very similar to Hines Ward.

I sure hope the funk he was in the first half of last season is long gone. As Ingtar33 said in a post a few months back, The Gilbride system is very complicated in that the WR and the QB both have to make the same reads at the same time to make the play work. I think Reed had problems with the offense last year. MM said he would keep some of the KG offense but simplify it. It remains to be seen but I really like his run after the catch ability.

I agree.

BTW, Reed would make a perfect #3.

ROFLMAO

Yes, I do think Reed will do well this year. I always liked him - hard runner, quick feet, tough attitude. His dropsies were a problem last year but he picked it up late. He should do well, although he'd do REALLY well if we got a speed WR and he played slot.

Go back and look at some of the drops Reed had last year. The biggest share came as a result of getting ahead of himself. The kind of offense we played relied heavily on run after the catch, and he was looking to make the move before he actually had the ball.

Agreed. When he slowed down in the last few games and took a breath, he didn't drop them. He should do well in a real scheme this year instead of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey bulls*** from last year.
