Polk has youth and versatility on his side, but he is coming off an average year and just doesn't seem to be progressing much. He has worked hard to build his strength and size without losing athleticism and quickness. Can play inside or outside. Slips blocks and makes plays in space. Moves well laterally and has good change-of-direction skills, but his tendency to run around blocks gets him into trouble sometimes. Doesn't like to stack and shed, and can run himself out of position trying to avoid contact. Needs to make better use of his hands and get off more blocks when engaged. Doesn't always play with great leverage. Lacks a feel for coverage situations. athleticism and range gives him a chance to get to the ball and make some plays. Polk is a good player who does nothing great. His versatility and athleticism are assets, but they won't make him a high roller in free agency.

Scrub Linebackers are all over. I think we will survive.
