and when did Slovakia and Russia move to North America?? Couldn't they just call it Draw A and Draw B??

The IIHF put those two strong teams (Russia & Slovakia) in the same division as Canada & the US to avoid another Canada/US Olympic matchup. If the US doesn't rank above # 8 in IIHF rankings through either success at the World Championships in April (unlikely) or at the World Cup, then they won't even qualify for the next Olympics. They don't want to do you guys any favours.Comment
