Uhh, Bledsoe is 32. That is why they are talking about far more playing time for Volek. Everyone knows Vick is the starter in Atlanta. The fans would revolt if they didn't keep Vick as the starter. McNair is an MVP and pro bowler. Why would they bench him in Tenn or cut him? It makes no sense! Bledsoe on the other hand is 32 and has a huge contract that makes him a likely cap cut after this season. IF Wyche can bring him back to being a good QB, then I have a feeling Bledsoe would re-negotiate his contract and stay on for 1 or 2 more years. Volek would eventually take over and would help groom a young late round QB too.

The Bills Brass wants a QB that can come in and take over if Drew flops again in the first month, they would not wait to pull the trigger if Volek were here. Bledsoe has to get it done in the first six weeks or he will not see that bonus and WILL be a FA after the season. I don't believe for a second that the front office really believes in Bledsoe right now. Volek could be a great addition, he has the intangibles, decision making, etc., we still need to look at QB in the draft.

I don't think he is totally sold Bledsoe is going to turn things around. He's not willing to give up on him yet like I am but anyone who thinks TD is totally sold on Drew is wrong IMO. He is to smart for that.

yeah.. weighing the options between bring in a guy who is 28 to be our qb of the future or a guy who is 21-22.. i will take the 21 year old. i didnt mean that volek would be useless because of his age.
