The GM and me are looking for more assisstants. I have been appointed the General Manager of the Buffalo Bills for the About.com GM Mock Draft. I can't do it alone, so I hope that other Bills fans, or football fans like you can help out this wonderful organization by taking some of the job openings (E-mail address is Hotstreek89@aol.com but please read whole message):
Assistant GM: (BillsRockSoMuch)
The Assistant GM will be the #2 person to the GM, and will help the GM by determining selections in each round, as will everyone else. If I am not present at the Bills pick for some reason, the Assistant GM will become Acting GM until I arrive. (I'm not expecting to be absent though)
Director of Pro Personnel: (Will take 1/May apply up until March 23rd)
The Director of Pro Personnel will be responsible for receiving any trade offers from other teams and contacting the GM about them, as well as finding what teams would be interested in deals the GM instructed the Director to propose. The Director will also have a say in the drafting of certain players.
Coordinator(s) of College Scouting: (Will take up to 2/May apply up until March 23rd)
The Coordinator will manage the draft board. The Coordinator is the head person that the scouts will give their information to. The Coordinator, with the help of the GM, Assistant GM, and Director, will put together an overal draft board by using the scouts individual draft boards for their positions.
Scouts: (Will take up to 8/May apply up until March 28th)
Each scout will be responsible for individual positions:
QB RB WR/TE OL DL LB DB(SS,FS,CB) K/P
The scouts for those individual positions may seek assistant scouts to help them sort through the individual players. The scouts will then make their positions's draft board, and submit it to the Coordinator of College Scouting. Once someone applies for a scout position, I will give 24 hours from when I read it for anyone else to apply for it. I will post here whether each position has been applied for/taken.
Assistant Scouts: (Will take up to 10/May apply up until April 2nd)
If you don't want to serve as a scout, you can be an assistant scout so that the official scout doesn't have to search through the whole board trying to find help.
If you would like to apply for any of these jobs, you should e-mail me at Hotstreek89@aol.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I have listed how long everyone has to submit applications for the certain jobs. You may apply for more than one position, but you will only receive one of the positions that you apply for. If more people want to come help the organization, I will create more jobs, but I think this is enough. Thanks for all your help, and I hope we can make the Bills have the best draft this year.
