Free agent quarterback Billy Volek, who has won one start in four years, was offered a $3.5 million signing bonus by Buffalo. That's $1.5 million more than the Browns offered Couch.

I sure hope someone else offers more. We don't need him.

How would a paper know the finacial details of an offered contract?

Umm... how about a No.

Henry is way too good to trade, esspicially since we have a very uncertain McGahee.

if manning is anything like his brother i would trade henry in a sec.... it would be nice if we still made morris though just in case WM cant preform which i dont think will be a problem....

:gossip:

we should be going after couch, volek is too risky and couch would come at a cheaper price weither we trade for him or the browns release him

i would way rather have couch than volek. this has to be a no brainer. we need some controversy to start a fire under bledsoes a**. not for any outrageous numbers though

I've seen Couch play...in person. Poor field presence and doesn't inspire confidence in the WRs he's been playing with for years. Don't see how he'll inspire any confidence in our WRs...and if he can't do that, he can't do the job.

Why do you say this, is it because Couch was a former #1 overall draft pick?

Couch stinks, I'd rather have Blake.

Blake has at least started for three teams and been to a probowl.

If Couch was a second round pick, you wouldn't be interested in him.

I'd rather have Bledsoe throwing left handed.

Look at the $3.5 signing bonus this way.

Say his contract is for 3-4 years. Spread that signing bonus out over the length of his deal, and it isn't that big of a deal.

His base salaries will most likely be pretty small, and he will have incentives. Honestly, paying a backup QB who could potentially start an average of $1 million a year is a pretty good deal.

As for Couch, when he starts looking at receivers other than his primary read, maybe we'll talk. And I don't want to give up anything in a trade for him.

I can't believe how many of you want this anemic offense to take a nose dive!

LOL, why don't we trade Moulds!

LMAO, that's been discussed too.

We gain absolutely nothing by trading our superstars except more years of rebuilding!!!

Some of us want to start winning soon and make the playoffs.

I hope we get rid of McGahee soon before some of us crown him God next!!

if the browns release him we can get him for nxt to nothing compared to what volek wants (volek wants all the money he can get cause he knows hes gonna be a bust)
