After a disappointing 2003 season (at least, after the first couple of games) Bills fans are asking themselves, “how is this thing going to get turned around”? There has been much discussion on making a bigger commitment to the run and improving turnover ratio (with good reason), but another important factor is overlooked: Penalties. Buffalo was flagged with 106 penalties for 891 yards - both numbers rate in the middle of the NFL pack. However, a deeper look into those numbers shows how the Bills beat themselves with a lack of discipline on offense, a problem that will have to be rectified if they are to turn around their record from last season....more... Nice work NE39...What jumps out at me is how often Tucker and Sullivan were penalized despite not playing much. Also Mike Williams nly had on penalty all year. That is quite impressive...

I have to say, I am completely shocked that Rueben Brown was penalized for the most yards...NOT:)

Very nice analysis though NE39

When you have an inexperienced OL coach and a Gilbride system that is confusing it isn't easy to rack up those penalties.

Hopefully Mcnally can bring out the best in players like he did Ziegler and Mularkey can simplify the schemes , this OL could be a very cohessive unit. They should be on the same page.

Villarial is solid I just hope this is the year Mike Williams lives up to his potential. With a healthy Mcgahee, watch out!!!

Great job NE39
