    McGahee As Ready As Ever

He was asked the question so many times he had come up with a token answer. How do you feel, was given the "taking it day by day" response. But as Willis McGahee prepares for the 2004 season it's a whole different ball game. His rehab is over.

"I'm healthy and I'm going to go out there and give it all I've got," said McGahee. "Everybody gets better as the season goes on. The more you work out the better it gets."

Even though the Bills most recent mini-camp was done without helmets or pads, McGahee looked crisp with his runs and his cuts. Even quarterback Drew Bledsoe noticed.

"It looks like he's running more smoothly," said Bledsoe. "Even though last year he was 95 percent healthy there was still a little bit of a hitch in his gait. It looks like that's gone so I look forward to seeing what he brings to the table for us this year."

the guy can run circles all day for all I care....

it only counts if he can take on a middle linebacker, bust the tackle, and break out past the secondary....

that is what bothers me until I see him do it...

I am afraid that knee is gonna snap like a twig before week 3.

I'm not worried about WM's knee holding up, unless he takes another helmet to it like he did in the FB. Even an elephant would have had a shattered knee. WM's history suggests his knee will be stronger than before, it's more the mental part I'm worried about. But he seems like a tough kid.

Willis has had plenty of time to recover from that knee injury. The Bills did well by being patient w/ him, and hopefully the knee can hold up. If so, Willis could really be quite an explosive player, and i can't wait to see what Wilis can do for us this year.

If it snaps it snaps. We all know we screwed up picking him.

i know.. there seems like a lot of people that think he is "injury prone" because of the injuries.. but that last one. i dont care who it was.. they would have snapped their knee.. it is just one of those things.

i cant judge him until he actually is in a game situaiton, i think he will be very careful early on during preseason and allow his confidence in his knee and his abilities to grow. i think its pointless to even talk about him right now, hes making cuts but he isnt worrying about that hit.

                      "McGahee as ready as ever"

WTF does that mean? Gives me a lot of confidence since he's NEVER been ready.

I'm glad he's looking good. Let's not trade TH quite yet, however.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think 80% of the board thinks Willis will do great.
