Tie breakers

OK lets just for arguments sake the Isles & Sabs end up in a tie who gets in? I thought it would be head to head matchup, but the guys at work today said the NHL does not settle ties that way they go to wins first.. After tonight I think both teams have 37 or 38 wins. So if there is a tie in points who gets in????????????

i think its the team with more wins.......isnt it usally head to head matchup?

If they tie, it would mean that the sabres would have won more games. And they would get in!

Points, Wins, Head to Head (which NYI wins 5-0), DIV. Wins, Conference Wins, WIN %, Goals Forced.

sportscenter just metioned if the sabres and iles tie at the end of the regular season.....buffalo would get the 8th spot with more wins

Yeha the Only way to mathmatically Tie Would be If We Had 2 More Wins.. While they Tied their Last Game..
