The Official Drew Bledsoe Truce

This is the official drew bledsoe truce thread.

The truce is on until we add another veteran qb and draft a rookie, which will be at least past the draft, on April 24-25.

A truce is defined in the dictionary as follows:

- Truce, n. Agreement to suspend hostilities; armistice.

now to me.. this does not mean that you cant make a few light hearted one liners every now and again.. but it does mean that i personally wont be debating the merits of if bledsoe should be the starter or his salary, or anything of the like, until the truce ends.

I am the leader of the truce.. so i will decide when it officially ends.. it may not end till the season starts. I dont know yet.. but i promise not to end it until we at least add a veteran qb and a rookie qb from the draft.

If you are interested in joining the truce, sign up here. You can be Pro or Anti Bledsoe and still sign up.

All you have to do is:
1. sign up here.
2. change your title under your name to "I am part of The Official Drew Bledsoe Truce".
3. not spout pro or anti drew crap on the board.. which means no starting threads hyping or dogging drew, or engaging in big debates that center around drew. It does not mean that you cant mention him from time to time, but you can not do so in a confrontational way, or in a way that will dampen message board unity.

If you want a real truce, there has to be something to be gained by being part of it, and something to be lost by violating it.

Maybe gain some privileges (is that possible?) or ZB by joining the truce, and losing them by violating it (which could be decided by a comitee (preferrably) or by a dictator :hammer:.

Also, any member of the truce should accept not to post any comment in any thread involving a Bledsoe controversy, so that non-truce members will be discouraged to post that kind of threads.

I haven't said anything in a long time about this but I believe Drew needs to go as soon as possible if the Bills are going to have any chance at all. I hope this site is not going to become a place where only one point of view is allowed, and if you are not of that point of view you are insulted and attacked. That is what happened at the old site and why everyone left to come here.

i am not trying to censor any opinions per say.. i have been against bledsoe for some time now.. the point of the truce is that both sides have said it all.. there is nothing else left to say about the issue.. both sides have made their points and the rest is just leading to unneeded arguing right now.. it is the slow time.. it happens.. but until the draft is over and we sign a vet qb.. there is no need to bring it up again.

I'll bet whatever zonebucks I have that if everyone joins, the number of threads and posts in this forum decreases by at least 30%. Dozer - if you have a log tool that can track this that would be really interesting to see. :D

For me personally, in the event that there is a rumor which involves a qb trade or signing of a qb vet before the draft, I will post comparisons to and opinions on Drew as it pertains to that trade or signing. I don't want to wait until it actually happens, since that's no fun at all.

Otherwise I'm fine with waiting until after the draft to re-start the anti-Drew campaign. :snicker:

Agreed :bf1: For the record, I think people are in agreement about stuff more than we notice...the threads just start off with one person misreading another and goes downhill after that. Maybe people will begin to see that after this is on for a while.

His throws were erratic and nearly never to the players chest always away from the body. He cant move. He gives up and takes the sack way to early on too many plays. I blame him and the coaching for the lack of development in Josh Reed. He got a great arm thats his only positive, cause he needs 7 seconds to load it up and fire, and I dont care if you've got the best line in football nobody can give you that much time. So this cross the line or should I go on?
