Players we gave up on that flourished elsewhere

In the last 5 or so years, who do you think "made it" with other teams after we gave up on them?

I'm not talking about guys we knew were good and couldn't afford, e.g., Price, Winfield, etc. I'm talking about guys we thought couldn't do well, released, then proved us all wrong.

I can't think of any right now.

    Oh wait...Todd Collins.

I can't think of any either we let Marcellus Wiley go he had 1-2 good years with the chargers but since has been plagued by injuries.

I'm trying to figure out what that means, i.e., it seems like we are a good judge of talent since we don't let diamonds in the rough go. Then again, you could also say we drafted/hired FAs that weren't any good and thus never flourished elsewhere.

The biggest two "oops" I can remember are Favre (Atlanta to GB) and Young (Tampa Bay to SF).

Parella has done pretty well since the Bills dropped him.

Not that he's been awesome when he left here, but who was that LB for the Panthers last year?

He's won rings but he definitely hasn't been a impact player IMO.

I believe Favors was signed by another team as a free agent a litlle while ago. Another example of the Williams regime dropping the ball on keeping a productive LB.

Antowain was very instrumental in their first Superbowl year. I think he also played a big part in their win over Indy last year in the conference final. No, he hasn't been a superstar, but he definitely made a big impact the first year after he left.

DB Jimmy Williams did OK for SF since we cut him.

                          Oh, how about Shayne Graham.

Talk about a name from the past this guy I think missed kicks for us on purpose. Didn't he miss a bunch in preseason and we cut him?
