kirk herbstreet said that peter king was dead on and the fact that rivers started 51 games in college is huge.

rivers came on and said:

he thinks that he can live up to every expectation that people have in him. he is confident

he has a great southern accent (side note).. sounds like a good old boy.

he said that pittsburg or greenbay are teams that he grew up rooting for.

patrick asked him where he is going.. who is gonna draft you.

he said that the chargers felt real strong about him, but they wont take him at the 1st overall.. he said that he doesnt think that if he is on the board still, from all the converasations that he has had with pittsburg, that he will make it past the steelers pick.

he said the combine is not necessary.. players should be judged on their field performance.

dan patrick started really hitting him with some tough questions..

asked him if you are better than eli manning.. rivers said that he is killing him with these questions.. patrick asked him if he would rather face his questions or FSU's defense.. rivers said based on teh past couple years.. FSU's defense.

DP asked him what "it" is.. rivers said "it" is what brady has.. the ability to just win.. no matter what.. can you make guys practice harder.. can you comeback in the 4th quarter after a bad game.. how do you respond when things dont go well.. he said he feels he has "it"

he is really not sure what kind of domino effect that will happen if the chargers trade down.

unfortunatley I dont think he will if we get a 1st round QB it will be because TD trades up, dont see any of em making out of the top 12.

We need a QB you're right but if is is gone by our pick I'm not going to cry. I have a lot of faith in TD and Modrak.

My opinion of TD is that thus far he hasnt lived up to expectation, I in no way said he will suck if he doesnt make the pick I want.

Whoever we pick im sure will help the team in some capacity.
I just hope its a QB.

But me calling him that in no way means he WILL suck if he doesnt take who I like. Always the first to instigate.
