Gibril Wilson
Position: Strong safety -->
College: Tennessee
Height: 6-0
Weight: 197
Hometown: San Jose, Calif.
Analysis | Agility | High School | Personal
OVERVIEW
Hard-hitting tackler who was a junior college find for the Volunteers … Came to the program after a stellar career at the City College of San Francisco, quickly establishing himself as a fierce tackler who simply punished opposing receivers that entered his zone … He recorded 135 tackles with 9½ sacks and five interceptions during his junior college days … He started 20 of 26 games at Tennessee, recording 196 tackles (138 solos) with 5½ sacks for minus-28 yards, 13½ stops for losses of 49 yards, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, three interceptions and 17 pass deflections.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has good upper body muscle development, long arms and thick thighs and calves … Has the speed and range to easily cover the field … Stays low in his pads, extending his arms properly to stalk, wrap and secure as a tackler … Comes out of his backpedal with no wasted motion, showing good body explosion and leaping ability to cover ground and get to the ball at its high point … Productive tackler inside the box who will show up instantly to push the lead blocker back through the rush lane … Has a solid work ethic and will do whatever it takes in the weight room or film room to improve his ability … Conscientious player who has made great strides breaking down and reacting to plays in front of him … Shows a good feel for the switch-off working in the zone … When left uncontested, he uses his burst to pursue and make plays in the backfield while coming off the edge.
Negatives: Limited in man coverage, as he is a little stiff in the hips, which causes him to look a little mechanical turning to track the ball over his shoulders (much better vs. plays in front of him) … Sees the plays develop and gets to the ball in a hurry, but lacks natural hands for the interception (lots of double catches, resulting in deflections rather than pass thefts) … Good open field tackler, until he reverts to dipping his shoulder and leading with his head (causes him to bounce off and miss tackles).
AGILITY TESTS
4.41 in the 40-yard dash … Bench presses 225 pounds 14 times … 420-pound squat … 275-pound power clean … 34½-inch vertical jump … 10-foot-1 broad jump … 4.22 20-yard shuttle … 6.33 three-cone drill … 32-inch arm length … 8½-inch hands.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Oak Grove (San Jose, Calif.) High.

I know we are set at safety but this guy is a project with major upside. Dont know for sure when he is expecteed to be drafted but i would guess second day. He looks like first day material and looks like a fast explosive playmaker if we can get him to catch.
would you guys use a fourth or fifth rounder on him? let me know your opinions draft experts.
