    My Bills Mock Draft

i used the draft-o-matic 5000 and i decided i would blow my wad if our draft went this*. i seriously might die a happy man that sunday if the draft happened to go this way...

    1.) Tommie Harris - DT - Oklahoma
-can learn under sam and pat, get in the line rotation, and play situational pass rusher at DT or run stuffer at DE. top 5 talent, would be amazing if he fell to us at 13. this pick alone would secure atleast a B grade for the bills on the first day.

    2.) Jake Grove - C - Virginia Tech
-he can challenge teague at center or just move him over to guard. either way he adds very talented youth and depth on the OL. a vicious mauler, this kid gets it done "i dont care if people call me dirty as long as theyre not calling me soft."

    3.) Max Starks - OT - Florida
-best player available, will be a better pro player than college with the right coaching and work ethic, and who better to help him along the way than jim mcnally and rusty jones. he could let jennings move to gaurd and grove at center and wed have the youngest, best line in the league.

    4.) Claude Harriot - DE - Pitt.
-could have been a top DE last year, stayed in college but suffered from a knee injury. he could not only provide insurance if schobel leaves, but also if kelsay and denney dont pan out. he dropped off the radars because of his sub-par stats, but dont be fooled, he was playing injured. although that is a concern (injury), i dont have any worries, hes obviously a tough kid and we have time for him to get back to 100%

5.) Bernard Berrian - WR - Fresno State
-a top 10 reciever in my opinion, this guy has the speed and explosiveness to pull down the deep ball and win the jump balls. lighting fast off the line and reaches top speed like that, his run after the catch skills are scary. he also would immedietly answer our need for a return specialist, he would start from day one. he is a playmaker, plain and simple.

    7a.) Mark Pierce - FB - Arkansas
-best all around fullback in this class, he can run catch and block effectively while running in the mid 4.6's. refered to by many as even the best blocking FB in the past two years. only a risk because of his off the field problems, but in rd 7, he is well worth it as he could develop into the versitle mold of fred beasley.

    7b.) Matt Mauk - QB - L.S.U.
-TD, mularkey, wyche, and clements get their project qb who has the arm strength and mobility, and who's main concern lies in patience and consistency. with time, i think he could develop into a jeff garcia type qb.

*serously...i get turned on thinking about how perfect this draft is and i just needed to share it with everyone

looks good to me.. i think my only concern would be that mauck is now our qb of the future?

Exactly I don't feel good about Mauck as our future.

Real good draft, but I still like a WR on Day One, if not in Round One.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

great first 2 picks. OT isnt really as big of a need as OG is at the 3rd pick. Clause Harriot went a rd too early in the 4th as I see him more as a 5th round DE, but still would like to have him. Berriam is a good pick but he could go anywhere from rd 3-5. Id consider him in the 3rd along with another WR alot like him in Hamilton. In the 4th we need to go QB and I like Smoker there. Dont really care about the FB posistion too much and Mauck is a wasted pick where id much rather get somebody that will contribute.

i think a good line is crucial for a good team, and i really like max starks and i just couldnt pass. i i thnk we need a DT way more than DE because both of our DTs are getting pretty old. mauck may not be THE future qb, but i figured he was ok enough to draft in the seventh; it was either him or josh scobee the kicker. i chose mauck bc that was going to be the biggest problem if i didnt take a qb. i think we will get someone after the june 1 cuts. im really high on berrian and i was so happy with the first two picks, i am more than happy with him the fifth. as far as claude harriot goes, i think he has got a ton of potential and worth a fourth round pick. as far as the FB pick, krider played a pretty big role in pitt's offense if i remember correctly and quite frankly, i dont think you can have enough good players on your team at any position. the only thing i wanted to address but couldnt was kicker.

but then again, this is MY draft, so of course im in love with it. im only one person and who knows, every single other person on this site might hate it but hey, i atleast excited myself, and thats all i was after

Draftboy - Smoker does have alot of skills. I've watched alot of his games cuz I am a MSU fan and he has put up sick numbers. I agree that he would be a steal that late in the draft, but he'd definitley be a project to develop as a pro QB and alot of people around here think we need to develop a guy and get him going NOW. Of course everybody would bring up the substance abuse problem he had, but I would give him a second chance... everybody has 'substance abuse' problems in college, IMO haha.

As for Mauck, I just don't like him at all and that would be a bad pick for this franchise.

ITS A SEVENTH ROUNDER rarely do they ever even make the team. he may not be our savior, but its a seventh rounder, what do you expect? it was either mauck, or a kicker who we could surely sign as an undrafted FA
