Best 5 RBs in the NFL All time

Guys had a little arguement with some friends of mine down here, we were trying to rank the 5 best RBS of all time.

And You guys are the best ones that could help me with that....

5.Emmitt Smith
4.Walter payton
3. Oj Simpson
2. Jim Brown
1. Barry Sanders

I want to know what you guys think!!!!

Sounds like a good list to me, although I wouldn't put them in that order if that is the order you want them in.

I would probably say:
1. Brown
2. Sanders
3. Payton
4. Smith
5. Simpson

I actually had an arguement with a Bills fan on the ESPN boards about who was the best back in Bills history and he thought it was Thomas.

based on what they did in their career and the teams they played with...Brown was the only one who consistantly played for a winner...Thomas and Emmitt had great teams around them. ES may have had the best OL ever assembled. I really wonder what TT would have done behind that line.

Gale Sayers was before my time. I really don't know how good he was or could have been, but if I had to, I would replace Simpson on the list and not Emmitt.

Barry Sanders played with no talent around him and still was unstoppable. My favorite run of all time is that one against the Bears.
