No way we lose to SF now without Garcia/Owens/Hearst.

I can see a vastly improved Oakland defense , and with the return of a healthy Gannon, the Raiders won't be a walkover.

Sept. 19 at Oakland 4:15 p.m. Oakland old men Rice, Gannon They haven't done anything in FA No contest W

Nothing in free agency? They retooled the whole team! And Al Davis is looking at Corey Dilllon. Add in Fitzgerald and they are back to a playoff contender.

San Fran on the other hand will be a mess.

Key arrivals — TE Roland Williams/ex-Buccaneer, April 10 (three years, $2.85 million); UFA WR-KR Chris Cole/ex-Bronco, April 7; CB Ray Buchanan/ex-Falcon, April 5 (five years, $12 million); UFA DT Warren Sapp/ex-Buccaneer, March 20 (seven years, $36.6 million, $7 million SB); LB Dwayne Rudd/ex-Buccaneer, March 13; UFA LB Danny Clark/ex-Jaguar, March 12 (three years, $3.9 million, $525,000 SB); UFA CB Ike Charlton/ex-Giant, March 9; OG Ron Stone/ex-49er, March 8 (three years, $8.35 million, $2 million SB); UFA DT Ted Washington/ex-Patriot, March 3 (four years, $14 million, $4 million SB).

Key departures — UFA DE Lorenzo Bromell, April 5 (to Giants); UFA QB Rick Mirer, March 30 (to Lions); UFA LB Eric Johnson, March 9 (to Falcons); UFA DT Rod Coleman, March 6 (to Falcons); UFA LB Eric Barton, March 6 (to Jets); UFA OL Matt Stinchcomb, March 5 (to Buccaneers); LB Bill Romanowski and DE Trace Armstrong, March 2 (both released after they failed physicals); RB Charlie Garner, March 1 (Garner bought out the final year of his contract, becoming an unrestricted free agent; he signed with Buccaneers March 9); WR Alvis Whitted, Feb. 27 (released).
