there is rumors on the pitt boards that Burress may be moved on draft day. possibly a 2nd round pick for him. this is all speculation of coarse. he has one year remaining on his deal.

would you be happy with him?

i was thinking.. if they want a second round pick.. would you give up our 1st this year, and 1st next year, for their 1st this year and plaxico?

it would put us in position to get rivers, and give us the big, fast wr.

With all the WRs in the draft, I'll bet you get a WR just as good as Burress in Rd 2, who cost less and doesn't give you the baggage. I've been disapointed In Burress since he wa drafted. He was supposed to be the "next Moss"

I wouldn't do it for a 1st next year for sure too much maybe a 2nd or a 3rd.

Hell yeah .. Even with a 2nd Round Pick That's Takes care of a speedy receiver spot. We can pick up Ben, Rivers, or Smith 1rst round.
I still think we go four a later round QB and pick up OL or DE first round If we pick up a veteran WR.
Better yet go WR in the 3rd because it's deep. and even look to 4 for a young QB.
I bet we don't go QB first round and look to a veteran back up post draft when the market opens up. As much as I hate to say it, I have a feeling it's kordell.

Good Point. The pros would be that he's had success before, and he knows Mularky's system.

Hmmm... that would def be interesting. Moulds, Burress and Reed would be a pretty awesome threesome.

If Pittsburgh is only looking for a 2nd rounder why give up a 1st next year?? I dont see Pittsburgh interested in that type of deal.. They are looking at a young QB in the draft as well, I cant see Pittsburgh giving up there 1st and pass on 1 of the 3 QB's in the draft..

Id say a 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd next year for Burress..

Id say a 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd next year for Burress..

because that would help us get the qb we may want.

a 3rd and a 2nd next year i think is too much, personally.

IMO I cant see Pittsburgh trading there 1st rounder this year when they need a young QB and could end up with Phillip Rivers or Big Ben..

If Buffalo was to make an offer for Plaxico hopefully it isnt a 2nd this year..

well... i wasnt basing it on what pitt may do.. i was basing it on what would be ok by me for the bills to do.. but i agree with you.

The Steelers are really seriosus about taking Andrews at #11.

That's what Chris Mortenson said so take it for what that's worth.

I agree with you Dozer,he has been a disapointment. He drops too many balls,he doesn't run his routes hard, and he doesn't break tackles, and he doesn't run block.
Maybe he is the poor mans Randy Moss, lol.

as tempting as that sounds,i'd rather keep the 2nd rounder.if he had 2-3 years left on his contract,i'd say yes.

I doubt that the steelers trade Plax and with only 1 yr on his contract I wouldn't do it. If he would sign extension, I'd think about it.

Blowing Smoke-

I'm thinking they go CB if the QB they want isn't there

I would like any scenario that gives us a potent #2 WR, and still the chance to get Rivers

I actually thought Plax was closer to Moss than you give him credit for.

Dont they both take plays off?

Found it:

He heard about how Burress and Edwards took plays off in both practices and games. How Burress spiked a ball after catching it but before being tackled -- an embarrassing mistake that resulted in a fumble. How they talked about what they would do, but never seemed to do it.

No wonder Jackson quickly shifts the conversation to this year.

I wouldn't say he is a deep threat. He is more like Mike Williams.

Plax is more name than he's really worth. No thanks.
