View Full Version : Has TD Ever Traded Up Before?

With this recent talk of trading up to leap-frog over Pittsburg to get a QB, I was wondering, in TD's history of drafting for the Steelers, did he ever trade up before and if so, who was the pick.

Yeah, in round two for Ryan Denney! I think TD's a good GM and he's obviously well respected around the league. ESPN radio mentioned him this morning on my way to work as one of the best in the game. Denney, however, was a bad move. You win some, you lose sum. The last time he traded up he lost. I don't know if he's ever done it in the first round.

I remember Denny. I should have said First Round.

Not sure about the first round but didn't he also move up for Josh Reed and Travis Henry as well.....

I know he moved DOWN in the first round...to get Nate Clements.

Alright, then My bad....But TD did move down in the first to get Clements. So, I had one right. I remember the trade with the Bucs to move from #14 to #21. They took Kenyatta Walker...

It was actually that we traded down to get Henry in the 2nd round...We traded away Tampa's pick in the 2nd to Denver and with Denver's pick we took Henry...I knew I wasn't that crazy..I remember now.
