    Bills suddenly a force

    From NFL Insider
For a change, Drew Bledsoe didn't have to carry the Bills on his ample shoulders. For a change, defense carried the load and made the difference in a victory that suddenly elevates the Bills from an exciting middle-of-the-road club to a force in a division the Dolphins had seemingly clutched by the throat.

Miami's fortunes took a dramatic negative turn last week when quarterback Jay Fiedler suffered a fractured thumb that is expected to sideline him for at least a month. As the Dolphins discovered Sunday, they are not nearly as good with Ray Lucas under center. Making his first start since he was with the New York Jets in 1999, Lucas was constantly off the mark with his passes and threw four interceptions. Cornerback Nate Clements had the first three, returning one for a touchdown. Those were the first interceptions of the season for the Bills, who also had two fumble recoveries in a rare display of defensive opportunism.........

I still think it's great that Vic Carucci, formerly of the Buffalo News is pretty much the lead dog as far as NFL writers nowadays with his gig with NFL Insider. Add into the the fact that Jim Kelley runs FOX Sports.com's NHL coverage, and it indicates that the national media is recognzing Buffalo's contributions to the world of sports and sports writing.
