All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I'll be the first to admit it. I've NEVER been to a Buffalo Sabres or any hockey game before. I watch them on TV sometimes, but just haven't gotten to the point where I could afford to go. Plus I have no one to go with. I hate going to games by myself. IF I had someone to go with, I'd love to go. I'm willing to make a trip out there sometime.
A lot of it has to do with the ticketing policies. Adelphia used to load up the arena by giving away tickets...well they can't do that any more. This team probably lost money in the past few years because attendance does not equal ticket sales...and the fans saw a good turnout at the games. At the beginning of last season they cut their payroll significantly and turned around and raised ticket prices. They really cut themselves in the throat when they did this. Not a good move to raise ticket prices like that when the quality of the team went from a low end cadillac to a yugo.
Imagine having no team.
I moved to Rochester years ago. The Amerks have won several Calder Cups since.
WHO CARES!!!!!!
When the Sabres make a Stanley Cup run, time stops.
Minor league sports don't cut it. Buffalo has a major league hockey franchise. Buffalo could lose that major league franchise, and never recover. It would be a loss to all of western NY as well.
Now is not the time to make reasons not to go, but to make a reason to go.
