williams and clarrett are done. the supreme court has turned down their request. to my understanding, per espn radio, there will be no change in this ruling before saturdays draft.

there is a slim chance that they may get in a supplimental draft.

in other news.

Travis Brown has been resigned.

Two equally disappointing stories.. How will the absense of Williams as a top 10 pick effect availability of top QB's and WR?

Short term bad, long term good.

While it hurts Buffalo in the draft since Williams would of most likely been drafted before the #13 pick and making another player for Buffalo to choose from I am happy for the sake of the league.

The question now is whether the NFL will grandfather williams in somehow...

I don't see how they could let him in and not MC? HE would file an" equal protection under the law" lawsuit

THey could let him in because he aplied for the draft through aa process set up by the NFL and was declared eligible by the NFL, unlike MC who filed a suit in court. Because Williams was never in any litigation, he could argue that he went through the NFL's own process, and therefor the NFL cannot deny him entry now by changing the rules after the fact.

NOt saying that it SHOULD happen, just that it could.

yeah, ESPN said it had something to do with Williams seperating himself form the "Clarrett Rule" by saying that he didn't intend on coming out until the NFL invited him to workout and his advisors assuring him that he'd be in the draft. Basically turning it back on the league and asking "why did you mislead me into thinking I'd enter the draft".

Quarterback Travis Brown re-signed with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday after accepting the team's contract tender.

Brown spent the last three years as the Bills third-stringer, but missed most of last season because of a dislocated finger on his throwing hand injured during a preseason game.

Brown was released by Buffalo in September after reaching an injury settlement, but then re-signed with the team in December....

Good, I hate Maurice Clarett. He is an A-hole who couldn't even last a full college season and now he thinks he is NFL ready...Get a life you loser.

It isn't done yet Clarett still can have his pleas heard by a 9 member board (If I heard right) and Williams has a totally seperate case and will have that heard and resolved by Friday.

Big money. NCAA is the free farm system to the NFL. The NCAA doesn't want all their stars leaving early. NFL is helping them out.

If the players weren't good enough, they shouldn't be drafted and they wouldn't play.

Future bench warmer. It doesn't matter if he re-signed or not this guy has shown jack the last 3 years he has been here. If we draft a QB Brown will be the 2nd possibly or even out of a job if Zolman has a good camp.

I certainly like your entusiasm for the two relatively unknowns. I wonder if your secretly kidding or something. If any of the two do turn out into a miracle story ala Kurt Warner, then you should be the GM after TD is gone.
