Buffalo Bills general manager Tom Donahoe insists that quarterback Drew Bledsoe still ranks among the “elite” class in the National Football League at his position.
But Donahoe also concedes that the time has come for the Bills to start looking for the quarterback who one day — perhaps as early as 2005 — will take the reins of the Buffalo offense from Bledsoe.
”We have one franchise quarterback,” Donahoe said recently, “and we’re looking for another one.”...
