1998- 1st round pick for Rob Johnson- Ended up as a terrible trade but at the time RJ was a very hot commodity and other teams were more then willing that season to dish out a 1st round pick for him. Our 1st round pick(along with a 4th to boot) was just higher then their value so we won(and loss) on the RJ sweepstakes.
2002- 1st round pick for Drew Bledsoe which has turned out just as bad as the Rob Johnson experiment but without the injuries. At this point in Bledsoe's career, he is a healthy Rob Johnson in disguise. Probably evens itself out since we moreless bidded against ourselves for him and offered much more then any other team(of the very thin list) were offering for him. Not only that, the draft pick went to a divisional rival.
