View Full Version : Guys that are still on the board...

the following guys are still available..

Chad Lavalais - DT (projected in the late first to late second in many places)

Mike Karney - FB (listed as the top fullback in many places, although no FBs have gone off the board yet)

Jason Peters - TE (320 pound TE that can run and catch. alot of TEs off the board, surprised he is not one of them)

Nick Leckey and Scott Wells - C (both very good centers, both ranked near the top of the C group)

Brandon Everage - FS (a guy that was a projected 1st round pick going into last year. played so so, but then really hurt his stock with some off the field issues and a poor performance at the senior bowl)

i have my fingers crossed that one or two of these guys sticks around till the 7th, or that the bills package the two picks to move up and grab one.

i sure hope Leckey is there when we pick but thats impossible.

I like the package two 7s for a 6 idea. at this rate some of the dudes Tatonka just listed will probably still be there.

I can't believe Lavalais fell so far. I realize that his upside may be limited, but he's still a great value in 3rd, 4th round, let alone 5,6,7!

ATL was in love with this kid

ahhh....I wrote this before Lavalais went. sorry for the slowness

thats the same thing i thought about randy starks...i saw him as a first rounder and he went two picks before our third when we did go DT anyway. i really hope TD just didnt assume he would fall to us; i was dieing for us to trade up and snag him. thats two years in a row the titans have taken a highly rated DT right in front of us in the later rounds (rien long last year)

all of this, of course, IMHO

yeah, I spent WAY too much time yesterday writing defending the Evans/Losman picks--even though I'm not doing backflips over either it fired me up to hear the immediate chorus from the TD-can't-do-anything-right crowd. give em a chance before we bring out the tar and feathers

Right on. These guys weren't my first choices but they're not bad.

The offence is shaping up and we'll see which of the mental comparisons of Losman ( Kelly or Rob ) are right.

there is a large group of very good fbs.. but they historically go late in every draft.

this is my list of best available fbs.
travis wilson - kstate (best blocker)
alex wade - duke (best runner)
lousaka polite - pitt (all around FB)
troy flemming - tennessee (good blocker, better runner)
thomas tapeh - minnesota (second best runner)

Maybe we can grab a steal in the 7th in FSU WR P.K. Sam if he's still around. I'd love to grab him there with his potential.

And just as I say it, NE snatches him up.

Butlers gone to lions

Tatonka
04-25-2004, 01:31 PM
i ranked the fbs in the order that i like them.. but peirce is a good one. good blocker.

shanon snell is still on the board as well.. which is incredible. i thought he was a lock for the first day. he is a massive guard from florida.

B-DON
04-25-2004, 01:41 PM
i was lookig at snell also, he could cahllenge sullivan or puccillo

Philly Zoner
04-25-2004, 01:45 PM
Jason Peters is still out there. he said he'd play tackle...can he do guard? even if not, is an intriguing short yardage tight end

DraftBoy
04-25-2004, 01:51 PM
I like Snell too

B-DON
04-25-2004, 01:51 PM

Tatonka
04-25-2004, 01:58 PM
my best available..

brandon everage - FS (low risk in the 7th, super high reward)
shannon snell - Guard
jason peters - Tight End
Travis Wilson - Crushing FB, lead Kstate to over 3k in rushing yards
Jeff Smoker - a great great plan B at qb.. could easily be as good of a back up as a guy like frank riech.. if not a good starter

DraftBoy
04-25-2004, 02:15 PM
Everage, Snell, Smoker in that order. Id love to see 2 of these guys in Bills Uni.

mypoorfriendme
04-25-2004, 02:22 PM

HenryRules
04-25-2004, 03:08 PM
maybe everage as a UFA?

Getting rejected by everyone may wake him up and get him to commit himself more.
