at this point, i think they'll just pick the best player available regardless of position..

ben utecht is still available, as is isaac hampton, the small school sack master. as far as OL goes, i have no idea who is still available, it would be helpful if espn had some sort of entire list

Thats not always the best way. If your gonna go with best player available at least go where it can make some sense depth wise not just bc hes an athlete. We needed the RB depth last year, somebody like NE didnt need Ben Watson with Fauria and Graham.

i know what you're saying, but im talking about the 7th RD ... you wont find players who are on the top of their respected positions so you take the best available at that pick and hope it pans out and give you a player worth drafting.

for example

DB
96
94
93
..
..
65

WR
97
85
..
48

OL
90
87
..
46

assuming we're looking at possibly picking an OL, WR or DB ... just because we need an OL, at this point an OL that is graded as a 46 wont make a difference if we pick him or not, he will be a project at best, we'd be better off looking for one in other ways.

When you have a DB left rated high, you take him even if you have enough DB's because according to your scouting grade, he might make an impact eventually and has more upside than the others.

thats all im saying.

Its the 7th round so you rarely find a player that will make an impact unless he's a kicker.

which is why im for a FB or K, because then theyd have a good chance of making the team or atleast pushing lindell and shelton for a roster spot

Issac Hilton was projected to go in the 4th or 5th round, and Utect was a 4th round possibility. If they went undrafted, we should definitley look to pick them up, as well as a FB. We could go with Peters instead of Utect.
