Buffalo Picks up another WR with their last pick! I like this move. He might not make it through training camp. I don't know much about this guy but he could create some compitition.

Yes!

A Yellow JAcket!!

he was the leading receiver last year, doesn't have track speed but is shifty and makes plays.

He returned punts last year too

Smith played sparingly in his freshman season catching seven passes for 80 yards. In 2001, Smith caught 53 passes for 590 yards and four touchdowns. In 2002, Smith caught 36 passes for 430 yards and three touchdowns. During his senior season, he caught 75 passes for 1124 yards and five touchdowns.

He also played on special teams both as a coverage person and a return man. Smith also played tailback at times with the Yellow Jackets and has even played a little at quarterback.

He possesses more quickness than he does speed and it has shown as he isn't able to stretch the field as well as faster receivers. Smith is undersized and will have a hard time out leaping DBs for the ball. He could also stand to add a few pounds to his thin frame. He needs to improve his route running as he runs sloppy routes and often cuts his routes off too early or runs shorter than designed routes. Smith also has some problems catching the ball in traffic or across the middle perhaps losing his concentration in fear that he is going to get popped by the defender. He has also dropped a lot of easy catches in the past but improved his play during his senior season. He needs to improve upon his skills as well as his mental game.

ummm

Is Eric moulds not returning next year or something? We have to have the deepest receiving core in the league.

I hope this means we address DE and OG in the coming weeks if not after June 1st

well, his stats are pretty amazing...in 2003 he had 78 recpeptions for 1138 yards (14.6 avg) and 5 td's.

is he a product of a system? im not sure of GT's offense, is it similar to texas tech and hawaii or what

Basically, we have the leading rusher in the acc in PJ Daniels. But whats amazing is Jonathan broke the team's reception record with a freshman quarterback who is more of a scramler in reggie ball. He was his favourite target throughout the season. Jonathan "freddy" Smith also returned punts for the team too. He doesn't have great speed but he knows how to make guys miss!
We ran the ball often and didn't have a viable #2 receiver either!

He's gonna surprise

All the complianers who are upset they didnt take any other player here because your fish wrap didnt have him taken and another guy still on the board who was supposed to go in the second round remember not only did we pass them up but so didnt 31 other teams on multiple occasions.

Sounds like the Slash player that Mularkey wants in his offense. Does anyone know if there are any decent FBs that might be available as undrafted free agents? I also thought we might have gotten a kicker, but that looks unlikely now.

Aiken doesn't have to worry but Brown and Coleman do.

At this point it's just the highest player left on our board who could create competition and possibly help special teams. He's actually a pretty good WR. Hopefully he's a nice surprise on the pro level.
