OLB/DE D.D. Acholonu 6'2"1/4 241 Lbs.

Good burst and edge quickness. Has good balance, straight-line speed and quick, active hands. Good Motor, effort and chase speed from the back side. Excellent work ethic.

OLB/DE D.D. Acholonu 6'2"1/4 241 Lbs.

Projected as a 6th round pick
Pros: DD started at DE in college and was incredibly effective as a speed rusher, had great pursuit ability, and a knack for stripping the ball. He can drop into zone coverage, is an excellent tackler, very athletic, and with upside.

Cons: He is just too small for an every down DE. Would be ok as a situational rush specialist but I feel is an ideal candidate to convert to OLB. He has great skill and size package for such a move and should excel.
Draft Exchange Analysis:

He will need a little time to make the adjustment to OLB but I feel with his skills and size would be ideal in that position. He has put up huge numbers as a pass rusher and whatever position they consider him at, he should definitely get a chance to make an NFL roster.

Sounds like a good move. You can never have enough fast LBs. Hope he's more successful than Corey Moore.

Sounds like a great move! He had no flaws listed other than he had to move to OLB. Should be a stud STer if nothing else.

This is my wish list of FA signings now:
Kentrell Curry FS 6-1, 200 Georgia
(to compete w/ Wire, PP, and Reese. Could be a gem.)
Jason Peters TE 6-4, 335 Arkansas
(Like having an extra tackle on the field, great for two TE sets.)
Shannon Snell OG 6-4, 315 Florida
(I'm really suprised this guy wasn't drafted, we should give him a look.)
Robert Kent QB 6-4, 222 Jackson State
(Very underrated, could provide solid backup)
Doug Easlick FB 5-11, 240 East Carolina
(Best blocking FB in the FA, ok hands, decent runner.)
Jarrett Payton RB 6-0, 220 Miami
(I really like this guy, should provide solid backup to WM and TH. Will fight for 3rd RB spot w/ Joe Burns.)

lol, ya! It will be very interesting to see if any of our backup LBs (Stevenson, Crowell, or this new guy) can push Posey for his starting spot. I'd like to see some competition there.

RB Shaud Williams 5'8" 190 Lbs.
Extremely productive. Combines vision, balance and elusiveness. Very good lateral quickness. Shows speed getting to and through the hole. Can accelerate and break away from the pack. Good route-runner. Great work ethic. Bench-presses more tnat twice his weight (375 pounds). Good hands. Effective as a cut blocker.

If the list so far is really Acholonu, Baker, Greer, Ritzman, Chandler, Peters and Williams, we're doing great! There are probably 4 keepers in that group.

And everyone was *****ing and moaning that the Bills didn't draft Peters in the 4th!!! Guess TD out-smarted all you arm-chair GMs.

The cynicism about this draft is unbelievable. I think the Bills have really helped themselves the last few days. They now have one of the deepest and most talented receiver groups, excellent depth at DT, some quality TE prospects and a potential franchise QB with an absolute rocket launcher and Kelly-like moxie. Add in McGahee and the Bills now have as much depth and skill on offense as any team in the league.

The offensive line may not have been addressed as well as some might like, but this was a really weak draft for the offensive line. Mostly projects who will need a year or two to develop.

Williams is from Andrews, Texas which is just down the road from where I live. He was a great running back in highschool and went to Texas Tech he transfered to Alabama because he didnt like the philosophy that new head coach Leach brought to Tech. He gave a passioned speech defending his coach last year when Alabama fired their coach. He has all the moves but his size has always been a question. He is a big time leader and you could see that when he deafended his old coach, with all of his teamates standing behind him. So he had 4 differant head coaches in college and I think with a more stable coaching system he could really become a good player. I wanted Roy to go to the Bills so bad that I never thought about a running bcak from this area going to the team

Jarrett Payton will do well as well. Will be solid on ST and could get Joe Burns outta here. He is decent and got the runaround at UM during his career. Not to mention having to sit behind some decent RB's (Portis, McGahee, Gore). He did rush for 1000 yards in just 8 games last year for the Canes.

There's obviously a reason why no one took him until later. The Colts were able to get Ben Utecht as an UDFA becuase he has a sports hernia. We don't know if Dorsey has an injury or off the field problems.

there are more pessimistic ways to look at this draft, but I'm real happy. OL woulda been nice, but like you said, it was a shi**y draft for OL. TD done good, at least from where we stand now.

there's always June 1

this draft was not a good oline draft.. but i think we made the best of it.. and our FA pick ups have been great.
