I don't know if anyone really cares a bunch, but the latest roster w/ #'s is up now.

I think it's funny that they have no position listed for Jonathin Smith. He's just gonna play every position.

I now have a #26 Johnny Lamar jersey. :(

Smith played RB/WR and KR at Georgia Tech. IMO they need to evaluate him during practice to find out what they want to do.
My guess is that he will be a kick returner, potentially replacing A. Brown.

Well, with the number #19, he's apparently slotted as a WR but my guess is that he'll see more action on ST than anywhere else...maybe as a KR/PR

It happened yesterday when we signed 18 UDFA's.

Peters gets an OL's number- not a receiver-elligible number.

Losman retains #7...another 7 & 11 battling it out at QB :snicker:

What do you mean not a receiver eligible number? I mean Warren Sapp caught a TD pass wearing #99.:idunno:

It won't happen this year and you should hope that it doesn't. I don't think throwing a rookie QB to the wolves is in the best interest of the team.

You have to let the refs know if you are going have an ineligble reciever become an eligible one. They announce it to the other team.

As with all rookies ... i put him on the bench until he plays better in practice than the guy on the field.

I hope he moves up to #2 ... hell if Moulds is injured again, I hope he can step up and be a #1.

That being said, I think he'll probably be a 3rd and a half option. I think depending on the sort of look we want when we go 3-wide, he'll be on the field, other times, it'll be Reed and Shaw out there.

It has to be 10-49, or in the 80's to line up covering the end of the line of scrimmage, and be elligible to be one of the 5 guys who can move past the LOS before it's thrown. Otherwise, Mightyspaz is correct- you have to report to the official. That's why McGahee could not keep #2, and why Linemen on Offense usually have numbers in the 60"s (except most centers- who have numbers in the 50's)

Last time we had a number 7 it caused a QB controversy not that it's going to happen again but 7 & 11 here we go again??? Losman can have any other number but not 7 or 12!!! please JP pick a different # :z:

So far it looks like he'll be wearing #7..his other choice would be #17. We're safe from #12..the only number the Bills have retired.
