Lee Evans, Bills
Height: 5-10 Weight: 197 School: Wisconsin Drafted: First Round (Number 13 overall) While the stock of some rookies dropped due to concerns over past injuries, Evans' stock actually rose in the weeks leading up to the draft despite the major knee surgery he had in 2003. A big reason for his climb is that he ran a recent 4.33 time in the 40-yard dash for scouts, proving that he still possesses the blazing speed he had before he suffered the injury.
Bills' coach Mike Mularkey will presumably give Evans every opportunity to remove Josh Reed from the No. 2 receiver role. Reed didn't produce in that capacity last season, and he may be better off playing the third receiving role that he thrived in while Peerless Price was still in Buffalo. If nothing else, Evans adds some much needed speed to the Bills' offense, which should go a long way toward helping Drew Bledsoe rebound from the dreadful season he had last year.
