All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I don't think Larry Allen would look good. I think last year was his last good year and signing him would not be beneficial. Parcells had trouble getting him to stay in shape. I don't think he's going to be healthy for more than 8 games or so this year and will be wheezing from exhausting the games that he does play.

I wouldn't say that. When Allen plays and is healthy, he is still a top-5 G in the NFL. It's just that those days are few and far between now. No one seems to rate him as much higher than that.
Ruben Brown on the other hand never seems to play like a top-5 G now.
I have yet to see any cut lists, although I believe we should see some pop up soon now that the draft is over. June 1st cuts are the next big event on the NFL calendar.

Is there a list of potential cuts anywhere yet?
With Euhus and Campbell, I don't see too many TE's that are worth signing as FA's lining up to sign with us. Most of the blocking TE's available visited and left unsigned (whether our decision or theirs is never known). My point is basically that I think any TE that is going to contribute is already on our roster.
Since most teams have learned how to run the cap now, I think players like Warner, Collins, and Allen are going to be the general type of cap cuts ... overpaid veterans that are beyond their best due date. There may be the odd exception, but there's still a fair number of teams with decent cap space out there, so I'd be suprised if we can outbid anyone.

we got the best blocking TE in the entire draft.. he weights in at 320 lbs, runs a 4.8 and can catch. jason peters.

I thought we were looking at him as a tackle.
Personally, if he's just going to be used on short-yardage situations, I'd rather have someone like Price lineup ineligible than keep someone on our roster that wasn't one of the top 255 prospects in college last year.
Obviously he could suprise and impress at training camp, but right now, I'm not expecting anything from him.
