Kevin Gilbride, to my knowledge, has had only one back that's caught more than 40 passes in a single season (Lorenzo White, 57). Moreover, in most seasons a Gilbride-led offense generally has a couple of RBs with around 20 catches (sometimes less).
If that's the case with the upcoming season, is there any point in retaining a roster spot for a guy that won't be returning next season anyway?
