I beleive it the Buffalo Bills told Jeff Morrison they brang Rhett in for a workout.

When Tampa Bay wore Orange.

I bet it's the sam Wyche connection- he coached Rhett in Tampa mid 1990's. I think he finished up with Cleveland or Baltimore

Rhett was an outstanding college player. He tore up the league his rookie year and got greedy. He held out and was never the same after coming back. He ended up in Baltimore where he also, couldn't seem to put it together. I am not sure if he went elsewhere after that or if he has been out of football since then. Someone said three years, that sounds about right.

I doubt he has anything left in the tank. However, like clump said, it doesn't hurt to try someone out. We did that with Robert Edwards and got a productive season out of him.

They were taking a poll on NFL Total Access the other night on what player would be the surprise of the 2004 season, I forget who it was but somebody said they expect Robert Edwards to be back and have a big year, they said he has been working out hard since the Fins released him and is in the best shape of his career. Not sure how true that is but I would be rooting for him.

As Far as Rhett goes I believe he left Baltimore as a FA and went to Cleveland, I think he hurt his foot(Cracked Bone) and never made it back from the injury.

Maybe we should wait until Denver cuts Mike Anderson, i heard he is going to be cut.

Reminds me of last year when we signed Olandis Gary....no real need but if you can get him cheap and then force some other team to give you a late round pick for him, maybe you do it....
Although I don't know who would give up anything for Rhett, but stranger things have happened I guess.
