Brian Moorman, he is still the #1 punter in the NFL. check his stats.

Brian Moorman, BUF 31 1488 48.0

i love this guy, we should have him as our KOS, Hollis looked terrible kicking off last game, I dont think he has had a Touchback yet this season.

Do you think if Moorman could kick to or through the endzone he would be doing it in the game. Of course he would.

Um, not this past off season, this is his second season with the Bills. Last year he was less consistent and his leg seemed tired after punting in NFL Europe during the spring. He's doing very nicely now.

Part of the reason he had dead leg last year, in addition to punting in NFL Europe, was that he DID kickoff for us last year. He was a little better than what Hollis is doing but didnt boom them into the endzone hardly ever. I say that he's doing so well now as a punter, lets keep him doing what he's doing. I still say that with the ability to de-activate a few players every game there HAS to be room on a 53 man roster for a KO specialist and there HAS to be someone amongst the seven billion people in the world that can kick off like Sebastard Janobrewski. The guy doesnt even have to speak English or know the rules, he just has to keek de buhl.

You're forgetting that a K/O specialist would take one of those 53 spots. I disagree- there's little to no room available for 3 kickers on a team.

Well, IMO, yes and no. There are always 3-4 players that never get into a game, as well as the 5 deactivated. There are not only some teams that carry three kickers but other teams that, like the Bills of old, carry a guy who does nothing but long snap. We have a regualr player that long snaps so we could take that place with a KO specialist. Plus, we are a high scoring team with a suspect defense. That means two things to me: we score a lot and hence KO a lot, and we need all the field position we can get because the defense needs help. Right now we are the 5th worst team in KO average and the 8th worst team in KR average against us. Teams are routinely starting at the 30-35 yard line. If we had a guy who kicked to the goalline or a touchback like Janobrewski, we maybe could save 30-50 yards a game. If we had 50+ yards more rushing, or passing, or less against us, or 50 yards more (or less) in penalties per game people would be all over those stats saying how great they were. It's a trade off for sure, but especially because we have guys like Price and Houghton on the OL that can play multiple positions, I think it would be worth it.
