Well, how did it beat out the NFL Draft?

From the numbers I've seen- the NFL Draft averaged a 4.8- an incredible number considering that was an average of the 7 hour televised event. Nascar draws around a 5. The NBA got killed with a measly 1.5 while the draft was on. If this wrestling show was on in the early evening or sunday- it was competing against the late rounds of the draft which had less than half the original viewers.

heres the link dozer its from official ratings company
http://www.nielsenmedia.com/ratings/cable_programs.html

Vince knows how to draw fan loyalty tho. Give the devil his due... his highest episode drew a 7.1 that was 3 years ago during the MONDAY NIGHT WARS. Those days they beat MNF most weeks.

LOL.... the NFL Draft number is an average of all 14 hours of coverage- The first round / first 2 hours did great- almost 5 million viewers- it tailed off considerably when the 6th and 7th rounds hit the air Sunday afternoon.

BTW- thanks for the link!

I've been an employee of Nielsen Media for almost 18 years

I did their ratings deal once. I kept track of everything on tv that I watched for 2 weeks, and received the kingly reward of $2.

You got the diaries- 100,000 of those go out each sweeps period.

These ratings came from the national sample (NTI) - 6000 HHs with TV monitors on them.

They are up there- for sure.

The demographics is where it's at- lots of under-35 viewers who blow a lot of income.
