http://www.buffalonews.com/graphics/2004/05/02/0502jplosman.jpgLet's get this straight. Eli Manning was the passing prince going into the 2004 NFL draft but announced, through his Hall of Fame daddy, that he would sit out the season if the San Diego Chargers selected him first overall. They took him anyway and Manning pouted until he was traded to the New York Giants.
J.P. Losman would have crawled to Buffalo to play for the Bills if they picked him last overall. He wanted to play somewhere, anywhere, which he maintained while draft pundits drooled over Manning, Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger. Losman was the fourth quarterback taken and was thrilled.

Yet it was Losman who had the attitude problem? Please.

The knock on Losman is that he's way cocky, and maybe he is. First, define cocky. Jim Kelly was called a cocky quarterback early in his career. After taking the Bills to four straight Super Bowls, he was painted as a confident veteran, a leader whose attitude was part of his arsenal.

So what's the difference?
