LMAO!!! Does This Tell You Someting??

    From NHL.com Game 6 Review,

"Detroit, which operates with a $75 million payroll, finished this regular season with 109 points _ the most in the NHL.

Detroit beat Nashville in six games in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Flames, who have a $36 million payroll, earned 94 points to reach the playoffs for the first time in eight years."

They made the same comparasins about the Carolina Gentle Breezes, the Ugly Ducks and the Minnesota Mild over the last two years.

Do you see any of those one-hit wonders still alive in the playoffs ? Did they even make the playoffs two years on ?

It tells me cheap teams like the Sabres, Ducks,...ect have a puncher's chance with a hot goalie.

Detroit , Clorado, Dallas- they spend big bucks but go 2 or 3 rounds deep every single year, winning a cup or two along the way. They make their revenue back and then some.

Yep, it's a good business model for the teams who can actually put bums in the chairs.
