NFL Rookie Impact: AFC feels need for speed

Here's a look at the AFC rookies with the best chance to make a big splash in 2004.

Buffalo Bills - Lee Evans is the complete package as a wide receiver. He's not only as polished as Josh Reed was coming out of LSU, but Evans holds the edge in every other category. The Wisconsin product should start opposite Eric Moulds; Reed will slide back into the slot as the Bills' No. 3 receiver. Evans will also provide Drew Bledsoe with the offense's best vertical threat since Peerless Price. Buffalo's best undrafted free agent: Jason Peters (TE, Arkansas). Peters was the draft's best blocking tight end, and rightfully so since he's 6-foot-4 and 328 pounds. He brings a nice dimension to the table for power-running and goal-line sets. Peters, a solid complement to fourth- round pick Tim Euhus (receiving tight end from Oregon State), can also catch the ball a bit.

Having Evans to be able to start right away and Reed and Shaw in the slot, we would have plenty of weapons and options to mess with opposing D-Coordinators.

              Congrats SpAz!
I'm really excited to Evans play and Peters. If this offense works out like it's supposed to, we will be unstopable.
Think about defenses trying to read a play with Moulds and Evans at WO peters at TE and McGahee and Henry both in the back feild.

evans is a rookie reciever; although i hope for around 80 catches, i doubt he breaks 55. as far as peters in concerned, dont forget not one team chose to draft him. for this reason i really dont expect much from him next season

peters is raw, he will be a player in a year or two, but dont expect to see him outside of goaline situations much this year.

That's assuming of course Drew can make the throws.

A mod has some powers to edit threads and enforce rules. Admins can do everything, ban people, rig polls, give permissions to posters, see people's IPs, etc.
