The fans are saving their voices for the second period! They want the Flyers to think they have the Leafs right where they want them. But, just sit back and watch the Leafs and their fans EXPLODE in the second and third period. :)

Sorry, but I don't like the Leafs. They have some of the dirtiest players in the game. Even some of their cleaner guys seemed to have picked up dirty tendancies like what Niewendyke did to Chris Drury. And Mats Sundin is the dirtiest superstar in the league. I don't like the Flyers, but hope they bury the leafs and lose to the Lightning in four.

What does or has he done? I thought he was a pretty upstanding, decent player.

define "dirty"

Sundin constantly takes runs at other players, and uses his stick like a weapon. He is by no means a fine upstanding citizen. IMO he is a cheap player that gets away with a lot because he is the best player on his team and a very skilled hockey player. I equate him with Doug Gilmour. A player once said of him (I think it was Mark Tinordi), "If he wasn't good, people would think he was dirty" or something to that effect. I'm not saying that Sundin is the only superstar in hockey that is like that either. Jamir Jagr and Lemieux used to get away with a lot of stick work and Mark Messier has also been known for he less than clean play at times. I also know that they take an inordinate amount of abuse at times from the opposing teams that have an aggitator glued to him for the entire game most times, but it doesn't justify what they do sometimes.

He's not even in the top 100 for penalties, so the dirtiest player tag is waaaaay off.

I said he gets away with a lot of cheap shots because of his status. You know, like "That's Mats Sundin, he wouldn't do that intentionally.". Maybe the term dirty is a little over the top and should be used more for guys like Domi and Tucker, how about cheap?

Gary Roberts is a dirty player? I though the dirty players were Domi, Tucker and Marchment.:idunno:

Alex Mogilny won the Lady Byng trophy last year! So he is the nicest player in all of hockey! :) And, he's my favorite. :)

I didn't think so either, Realmen. I've never heard that Sundin was dirty and everyone is very quick to tell me what a dirty team the Leafs are. lol
