All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Look for unrestricted free agent quarterback Kordell Stewart to make a decision on where he will play in 2004 within the next week or two. Stewart's options appear to be the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos. The Broncos will convene for a minicamp this weekend and figure to have a better feel for their direction at backup quarterback following the three days of workouts. ...
The honeymoon in Miami might be over between the Dolphins and wide receiver David Boston, acquired in a trade last month. Boston missed practice time this week because of a shin injury, but word is that the enigmatic receiver still hasn't lost the weight that the club wants him to shed. Boston reportedly got as high as 260 pounds with the Chargers in 2003 and the Dolphins feel he will be more productive at 235. But his weight has hovered in the 240-pound range lately and Boston doesn't seem to be making a concerted effort to get much lower than that. There are unsubstantiated reports of a brief verbal contretemps between Boston and one of the Dolphins assistants. If the reports are accurate, it could signal that Boston has no plans to change, despite his promises to make things work with his new employers.

I think bringing in a veteran backup for Drew will slow Losman's progress, in that he will not be getting the reps he needs to rapidly develop into an NFL QB. We need to commit to Drew for this season, and to bring JP along as quickly as possible.
Of course, an injury to Drew would be devastating under this scenario.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Losman could still get the majority of backup snaps in practice ... but if Drew went down long-term, we could simply move the veteran QB over. Either way, Drew is going to be the one that gets most of the snaps with the first team, so it'll be an adjustment for the backup - but by having the veteran on the roster, even if he doesn't get true "backup" snaps - he'd still know the offense better than if he were getting no snaps.

That would've seemed like the case for Jax last year too. Brunell was hurt and rookie Leftwich came in. But instead of tanking, he showed that the team has a talented young QB and a promising future.
Lets claim David Boston from Waivers once the Phins release him and play him at his natural position - Tight End....He is bigger than shannon sharpe ever was
