The Bills today announced that the team has hired MARC ROSS for the position of National College Scout.

Ross was most recently with the Philadelphia Eagles as the Director of College Scouting (2000-2003). Prior to his time as a director, Ross served as the Eagles eastern regional scout (1997-00).

"I am excited about the opportunity to work in the Bills organization and to work for Mr. Ralph Wilson, for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect," Ross said. "I like the direction the Bills are going and I am looking forward to working with and learning from Tom Donahoe and Tom Modrak. Both have a lot of experience and have been successful over the years. I am excited about the whole direction of the Bills organization."

I kind of though that when the Eagles gutted their scouting staff (for no other reason than they were Modrak hires) the cream of the crop might end up in Buffalo.

Too bad McNabb doesn't golf with Mondrak. That might really test the theory!!!

Bills announce hiring of national college scout

The Buffalo Bills hired Marc Ross to be their national college scout.
Ross, a Princeton graduate, spent the past seven years as a scout with the Philadelphia Eagles, including the last three as the team's director of college scouting. With Buffalo, Ross is reunited with Tom Modrak, the Bills' assistant general manager and chief scout. Modrak had also been the Eagles' director of football operations from 1998-01.

The Bills created the position of national college scout to hire Ross.

Bills name Ross top national scout

It is not surprising that fired Eagles scouting director Marc Ross needed just over a week to find another job.

And it was even less of a surprise where that job was.

Ross, the former Eagles director of college scouting and one-time Princeton University wide receiver, was hired by the Buffalo Bills to be their national college scout.
