He has always been of my fav non-Sabres in the league. Iggy pop is a true gentlemen, and a great ambassador for the game. Which is why I think the NHL should really promote him alot more, and try to get his name out there among the elite players in the league.

A wuss? He's holding his own during this playoff series for sure. He never backs down, and he has tons of scoring chances.

Hatcher & Iginla aren't even in the same stratosphere in terms of talent.

one thing Jarome Ignila is not is a wuss. That is just unintelligent to say that he is.

Please don't talk anymore. You just don't know what you're saying.

Didn't Darcy have a deal on the table Peca for Ignila? Sweet move Darcy, wait a few months and pick up Connelly and Pyatt!

The Leafs could have had Iginla if it wasn't for their stoopid policy of not "raiding" other Canadian teams' free agents.

That was a rumor don't know how true it was. Hindsight is 20/20 nobody knew how Iginla would turn out he was bounced around a little bit as well.

I guess if there was really a deal. Hell would could have had Bertuzzi too he sucked for the Islanders and he even played in the IHL for a year.

to get back into the original topic, i've really started to like Iginla over the past 2 years as well, and not just because of his recent success, but mainly because of Jarome the man not the player, he is one of the very few big named players who is a good guy, he is always smiling, he always takes the time out for his fans, he signs all of his autographs, he's seems to be a good friend; the year he finished top of the league he gave all of his teamates gold rolexes, he takes the time out for charities; he was on this special where he was out playing wheelchair hockey with some "less forunate" children, the league definently needs more of him, and thats how all players should be, their getting paid millions of dollars to play the greatest game on earth, the least they could do is crack a smile.

Did you see the Iginla interview on The National last night ?

He's just a regular guy. Grew up in a house where his Nigerian father was a Lawyer and a Christian Minister and his mom's a Bhuddist. He wants to be a Lawyer when he retires.
