    Wilson gives a primer on sharing

    The exclusive fraternity of National Football League owners has changed dramatically in the past decade.
    Only half of the league's owners were running their clubs when the Buffalo Bills made their first Super Bowl appearance in 1991.

    So when Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. gathered with his 31 fellow business partners this spring, he felt it was his duty to give them some long-term perspective on just how they came to be sitting on top of the sports world.

    This is key IMO. On one hand, you want to make sure that you don't get into a huge situation of haves and have nots. But at the same time, you don't want to have smaller clubs sit back and ride the gravy train that the more inventive owners create. So some kind of system where teams are reviewed like a franchise, e.g., like the Starbuck's example, would be a good idea.

      Yup- In the early years of the cap- teams like Arizona and the bengals wouldn't spend it all- really stupid!
